The High School Supper Club That Never Left Mi Cocina

Over the past decade, Mi Cocina has been a staple for my high school friend group. We graduated from Highland Park in 2010, and growing up, Mi Cocina in Highland Park Village was a staple for any Park Cities kid. In 2017, once most of our group moved back to Dallas after college, we started a monthly supper club to have intentional time together as young adults. When we brainstormed where to meet, it was an obvious choice.
Over the past nine years, Mi Cocina is where we’ve navigated the big stuff: engagements, job changes, pregnancy announcements, and everything in between. Many of us have been friends since first grade, and after scattering across the country for college, we found our way back to each other. Several of us teach in Highland Park, and when we run into students, it’s great for them to see we’re still friends after all these years. Thank you, Mi Cocina, for being the glue that got our supper club started.
